Day 01

Route: Airport – Colombo
Drive: Drive: Approximately 1 1/2 hrs

On arrival in Sri Lanka you will be met and assisted by your personal driver who will direct you to Colombo.

Start your Sri Lanka tour from Sri Lanka’s capital, Colombo. Spend a night in Colombo where you will have the time to do a city tour & shopping as well, while the remaining days are dedicated to get memorable experiences for your vacation in Sri Lanka.

Day 02

Route: Colombo – Pinnawala – Sigiriya
Drive: Drive: Approximately 4 ½ hrs

After breakfast leave for Dambulla.

On the way you can visit the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawala. Pinnawala has become a must visit destination for most Sri Lankan tourists. Today, some of these orphans enjoy the fortune of seeing their grandchildren born in the same location. The free movement of the herd enhanced the chances for individuals of both sexes to get together.

In the afternoon you can visit the world renowned Sigiriya heritage site, Gather strange-full experience for your Sri Lankan tours mounting the 5th century built UNESCO recognized world heritage site, Sigiriya Rock Fortress which was built by King Kashyapa (477495 AD). A moat, rampart, and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock. Day 03

Route: Sigiriya – Minneriya – Polonnaruwa
Drive: Approximately 2 ½ hrs

After breakfast transfer to Minneriya National Park.

Minneriya National Park consists of mixed evergreen forest and scrub areas and is home to favourites such as sambar deer, leopards and elephants. However, the central feature of the park is the ancient Minneriya Tank (built in 3rd century AD by King Mahasena). During the dry season (June to September), this tank is an incredible place to observe the elephants who come to bathe and graze, as well as the huge flocks of birds (cormorants and painted storks to name but a few) that come to fish in the shallow waters.

Continuing your Sri Lankan holiday, you will visit the Medieval capital of Polonnaruwa, built in the 11th and 12th century is the 2nd capital of Sri Lanka and is today one of the nine World Heritage sites that the island has to offer. You will have the opportunity to see the ruins of the Royal Palace and the Gal Viharaya, the Parakrama Samudra tank (lake) built by King Parakramabahu the Great are sites that you will explore while your Sri Lanka tours.

Day 04

Route: Sigiriya – Dambulla – Kandy
Drive: Approximately 3 hrs

After breakfast transfer to Kandy

Route: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
Drive: Approximately 2 hrs

After breakfast transfer to Nuwara Eliya via Peradeniya – Botanical Garden.

Visit Peradeniya – Botanical Gardens was first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was expanded by the British. It is 147 acres in extent and provides an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers. Nobody forget to include this amazing attraction event for their holiday tour in Sri Lanka.

However, January to March is the dry period that makes Kithulgala Sri Lanka’s foremost tourist attraction of those who venture into White Water Rafting.
